London China Offices (Beijing Shanghai)
Given the importance of the rapidly growing Chinese economy, links with China are critical to London’s success as the world’s most important international financial, business and economic centre.
London set up its offices in Beijing and Shanghai in April 2006, representing the Mayor of London and London Development Agency. The China offices market and promote London as a modern, dynamic and open city to do business and trade with, visit and study.
They Mayor’s Office sees the representation in China as a way of exchanging ideas and views about ways of meeting the economic, environmental and social issues facing cities – and above the unique challenge and opportunity that London and Beijing, share by being Olympic host cities.

Study LondonStudy London is a promotional campaign, supported by the Mayor, which positions London as the world’s knowledge capital and the best place to be a student.
The campaign’s aim is to add value to the individual marketing initiatives already undertaken by London’s universities and higher education institutions to attract students to study in London.
Working with partner agencies, such as Visit London and Think London, the campaign promotes the opportunities the city has to offer through marketing materials, such as the Study London brochure and London study map.
